Program Overview

Thank you for your interest in the 2006 Georgia Youth Summit. Through generous support from the Governor and General Assembly, the Summit is a collaboration of the Georgia Rural Development Council and Georgia 4-H Youth. The event is set for September 30 - October 2 at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center near Eatonton. The program kicks off at 2:00PM Saturday and concludes at 12:00PM on Monday.

Each county throughout the state of Georgia will select four rising 10th and/or 11th graders plus one adult to participate in the program. The county is seeking emerging leaders that are interested in the future of their communities.

To apply for one of the five spots reserved for your county, complete the application and submit it to your respective County Extension Office by May 15th. The county extension office will coordinate the selection of delegates and notify you of your status.

Youth-adult partnerships are critical to the success of each county team. For more information about the role and responsibilities of the adult delegate click here.
