Submission Guidelines
1. Email an unsigned, electronic copy to Mr. Jeff Buckley at the State 4-H Office by 8:00 am on December 2nd.
2. Mail a signed original as soon as is reasonably possible. Do not overnight the signed original.
Program Objectives
Georgia 4-H, through the Georgia Rural Development Council, is sponsoring a grant program for Youth Summit County Teams to implement their county action plan in their local communities.
This grant program is being offered to assist county teams in accomplishing the goals they set while attending the 2010 Georgia Youth Summit.
The grant appliction is built around the Logic Model and County Action Plan that Summit teams developed at the Summit.
Parameters
- The county team must have attended the 2010 Georgia Youth Summit and developed a county action plan.
- County Teams must be willing to present their plan at a meeting of the Dept. of Community Affairs Regional Commission in their Service Delivery Region.

- County teams may request either $250, $500, $750 or $1000 in funding. The grant selection committee will determine the amount of the award.

Program Timeline
December 1, 2010 – Grant Applications Due to State 4-H Office
December 15, 2010 – Grant Winners Announced
January – March, 2011 – Grant Recipients will present their project at Regional Commission Meetings.
June 1, 2011 - Project must be completed and Impact Report Submitted
Grant Funds
The Grant will be paid as reimbursement for approved expenses, upon receipt of:
- Original receipts
- A budget summary
- An invoice which corresponds to the budget summary, on official letterhead of the grant coordinator’s organization, billed to the University of Georgia
